Craft Room - More Progress

I'm sure you are getting bored with these pictures, but I'm excited at the progress and hoping to be done in the next week. I'm also trying to finish up my table I painted with ASCP - it just needs the wax!

Here are some updated pictures of the room.

Yikes! Didn't realize the picture was so blurry.

Adeline wants in the craft room!

Another blurry one! :(

Also I recently received a set of Woolzies Dryer Balls to try out. So be on the lookout for my review and giveaway!

Craft Room Redo - Pegboard Progress!

Finally made the decision on my pegboard for the craft room. I decided to go with a huge board - 8'x4' mainly because I didn't think a measly 4'x4' would be enough for all my crap crafty tools. Also I rethought the location of the board. I decided to place in on the opposite wall and not put it over the cut-off valve since it wouldn't be easy to remove if need be. So hubby is going to build me a cover for the cut off valve.

I am very lucky to have a handy hubby as I couldn't have done it on my own most likely. Hubby got it all done in one day, not sure how long time wise since we had things to do throughout the day, but super easy and quick!

Step 1 - Find Studs! (nail in far wall to mark stud)

Step 2 - Hang 1"x2" strips as a spacer to put pegboard out from wall. We painted/primed them white.

Step 3 - Hang 1"x2" strips in center to provide stability to the pegboard.

Step 4 - We bought a white pegboard, but decided to go ahead and prime it so the paint would adhere and cover better. (That's right ladies, he's taken!)

Step 5 - Paint! We did two coats and it looks to be enough. I decided to paint the board because white is not my color and I wanted another color to break up all the PINK!

Step 6 - Plan the pegboard layout

Since we had to move around the craft room to install this big boy I didn't get to finish my ASCP Table I've been working on. But here is a horrible picture of it to get you through till I can finish (wax still to be done). I decided not to do any blue accents on this table - I just painted two containers blue that will be on the table! Before and Afters soon!

Craft Room Redo - Peg Board Ideas

So the next big project I want to complete for my craft room is to put up a Peg Board. Thankfully the hubby clued me in that they are super cheap, which works for my budget which is $0! We have one in the garage so first I'll see if the size works in my room and  if it is in good enough shape. Otherwise he'll be making a trip to the store to get me one tomorrow! I want to paint it as well, so that will have to happen first before it gets put up! To inspire my project I've been scouring Pinterest for ideas of how to arrange my craft supplies on the peg board.

Here are a few of my PINS:

I like that in this one she's not afraid to put big items on it!

I'll totally be stealing her idea of outlining each item with scrapbook paper and put behind to keep track of what goes where! Especially if someone borrows...

I love that this has a frame around it and it is personalized (thinking may do this w/ vinyl). Also love the hanging bar at the bottom!

Lots of good hanger ideas here! Love the mason jars.

Super cute putting it behind a vintage window! Love!!! And of course lots of hanger ideas here.
Source
Love Everything! Nice that they put up a shelf and the cork board.

Wish I lived near an Ikea to get these containers!

Neat idea!

This is more my style for the sewing thread I think, but it takes up so much space! Definitely want to hang up my ribbon!

Craft Room Redo - In Progress 2

So I had a little bit more progress to the craft room. I decided to add a baby gate to my door so that I can try to work some with Adeline playing. She tries to come into the room and moves any barrier I put up! So thankfully my MIL got a baby gate from someone and gave it to me. Alan and I installed it this morning during nap time! Adeline already despises it I can tell! She usually stays where I can see her, so it will work out great, I'm hoping!

I also went ahead and worked on two of my big to do projects. And I just mean big as in size, not in hardness! Easy peazy. Just took a couple diaper boxes from a friend and covered with scrapbook paper and sealed with mod podge! I'm going to use these throughout the house, not just in the craft room. I need to be able to see what is in boxes typically so these will be for large items in closets or such. I have one more to go, I already had the paper selected and ready in each box so it is a quick project now. So nice to be clearing out some of this stuff!

Craft Room Redo - In progress

Now that the holidays are over I wanted to get to work in my craft room. I can't work in chaos and need organization. I'm also a "out of sight, out of mind" person. So I really need open storage or I forget what I have! So here is the beginning of my craft room redo. I have lots of projects I'm in the middle of, I'll show you in the pictures below!

BEFORE:

REARRANGED:

I got all the rearranging done in just over an hour after Adeline went to sleep. Hoping I can get alot more done and some of the projects done during naps/bedtime.

Next project in the room will be the pegboard. I have some fabric I want to recover the desk chair in, so I'm thinking I'll use the Green (a lot like in the picture) from the fabric as the color for my accents in the room. If you know me, I love color! And I also want to tone down the PINK with another color and by placing lots of things/pictures on the walls as well.
