Paper Pumpkin - December 2014

I've heard several people lately mention how much the love Shaker Cards, and I think Stampin' Up must have heard too. For Decembers' Paper Pumpkin that is exactly what the sent us! I love getting a surprise every month in the mail that I can escape to after the little one goes to bed and I can craft and craft without having to put a lot of thought into it.

This month we got a gift in our boxes - a Paper-Piercing Pack! I've done it before and this is an awesome set, can't wait to try it out.

With most Paper Pumpkin projects you get a small set of stamps, usually 3x4 sheet. This month we got a full 4x6 sheet of stamps! I love that they can be used all throughout the year.

All the paper materials and instructions come bundled up and ready to go!

Here is everything included in the kit. The only  downside is that you have to punch out all those stars!!! It really wasn't too bad using the toothpick that was included in the kit. The words are on sticker paper so they are super easy to use.

The finished product! This project made 9 cards total (3 of each design).

If you're interested in getting a crafty surprise in the mail each month head on over to Paper Pumpkin and sign up now

Right now during Sale-A-Bration if you get a 3-month prepaid subscription this qualifies you for a FREE Sale-A-Bration item from the Brochure.

Happy 3rd Birthday Adeline

Ok Ok I know this post is quite a bit late but I have a ton of excuses! But today I'm home sick sitting on the couch so I can get caught up a bit with my blog posts.

Since we moved to Bristol, Adeline hadn't made many friends to invite to a party so we decided to have a party at my parents house and invite mostly family. Adeline got to spend her special day with all her favorite people.

If you can't tell by now, Adeline is horse crazy. But she is also Lego Friends crazy. So we did a combination party. I had a great time  making some of her decorations myself.

We celebrated at home on her actual birthday with a couple gifts. She loved it.

Daddy got Adeline her own Fishing Pole! Adeline loves it and plays with it all the time. She can't wait to go fishing with her daddy as soon as it warms up.

That weekend we went to Newport and had a great birthday party with family.

Mom and I made Adeline this awesome horse cake. I found the mold at Hobby Lobby and it was my first try at this type of icing. If you need any tips let me know! I sure learned a lot icing this big boy late the night before!

Thankful to everyone who came and celebrated the day with Adeline! I didn't get a bunch of pictures as I was busy enjoying the day.

Weeks Family Christmas 2014

This year we celebrated our first Christmas in Bristol. We had all our family come to the new house to start new Christmas traditions. It was great having the open floor plan of the new house, so that no matter if you are cooking or relaxing on the couch we are all together! That is all I wanted for Christmas was for everyone to be together and for Adeline to have all her favorite people, and that is exactly what I got.

Adeline asked for two things for Christmas - a 4-Wheeler and a Dollhouse. Over Thanksgiving she rode her cousins' 4-Wheeler and fell in love! Then of course Bass Pro Shops got one just her size and put it on display, she squealed and ran to it every time we went to the store. We ended up ordering her one and she absolutely loves it.

Instead of buying a brand new Dollhouse I decided it was time that my doll house was handed down to her. I got it when I was older but she is so mature for a 3 yr old I knew she would love it.

We had fun with all our extended family and Adeline loved opening all the presents!

The aftermath!

Adeline got to go outside and play with her 4-Wheeler. It was a bit wet so she didn't get a lot of traction and she is so lightweight that doesn't help either.

We had a very blessed Christmas. Alan and I were gifted by his parents a brand new TV! We still hadn't ventured into getting a flat TV so we were long over due for one! Here it is all set up! We were lucky enough that when the house was remodeled they put it in outlets above the fireplace for a wall-mount TV.

I can't forget my parents either, they gifted us with a new laptop. I use it so much for my Etsy & Stampin' Up Businesses so I needed a new one and this new Dell is awesome!!!

I didn't get a ton of pictures as I was busy enjoying my family and feeling a little ill. I am still feeling eh and I hope to get some of the grandparents pictures to add!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and have a Happy New Year!

Bristol House Tour - Adeline's Room

I've shared Adeline's room before, but now it is DONE (other than window shades)! If you can't tell from my previous posts, Adeline is in love with horses. So when we moved to Bristol I decided to move her up to a Twin bed and get horse bedding. Then I picked her up some horse decor - I am so happy we are near Hobby Lobby (Kingsport).

View from the door of her room
The area above her bed is pretty blank, but I plan on getting some pictures of all the horses printed on unframed canvas' (so if they fall they won't hurt her) and hung above her bed.

She sleeps in Alan's old bed that still has a few of his stickers on it, she loves to look at them.
Adeline has a huge closet that I am envious of! I have a teeny tiny closet in the Master Bedroom, the sacrifice I made for a 2nd full bathroom!

The pink sign doesn't really go with the Horse theme, but Adeline picked it out herself. We found these super cute horseshoe hangers at Hobby Lobby - $2.50/each on sale. They are heavy metal too.

Signs says - "Princess of Everything"
Our little girl is growing up so fast, we are so proud of her. Everyday she amazes us with her personality and knowledge.
