April Farm Life

Basically every time we go visit my parents Adeline has to go to the Farm to see her Thunder. We went down last weekend and took Adeline down to the barn so she could meet the new calf that my dad and brother were having to bottle feed. She was hesitant at first but since Pa-Paw was with her she pet the calf. They'd already fed it so she didn't get to see that, but I'm sure she would have loved it.

Pa-paw got a fresh load off gravel for the farm and Adeline is not one to get herself dirty. Mom and I jokingly told Adeline to climb the gravel and after seeing her Thunder and the baby calf she was all over that gravel! She got so dirty, but she loved it.

I love seeing her grow up on the farm. She loves her horses and could spend all day with them I think. She has to wear her cowgirl boots whenever on the farm. Soon we're going to have to buy her some new ones - we're lucky she's so petite and hasn't gone through a huge growth spurt!

Here is the precious Thunder getting a brushing from Uncle Scott after a snack.

A little horse sittin'

If you can't tell by now, Adeline is horse crazy. Only because she is Paw-Paw crazy and she knows horses and Paw-Paw go together! If we go visit the grandparents in Newport, it is a must to go visit the Farm and all the horses & cows.

Rusty, Chavo, and Jessie

Uncle Scott got Cash all saddled up so Adeline could sit on him. She was so excited!

We came in for the weekend so Alan could hunt during his time off so Adeline was in heaven getting to spend several days with the Grandparents.

Love this girl! She is so sweet and cuddly, of course she was getting cold too.....

Farm Time Sunday

Ok OK. I know I probably post about going to the farm way too much, but my daughter absolutely loves it! She can only go a few days without asking to go visit her Thunder, so when she does get to go it's a big event since it is two hours away now. My parents live in Giles County and I would have loved to raise my family there, but life had other plans. Sunday we decided to go visit for the day so Alan could pick up a couple things at my parents house. Adeline had to go see her Thunder, and the other horses of course.

Adeline had to take some apples, so Maw-Maw cut them up for her.

Paw-Paw wanted to check his wildlife camera so we drove all the way to the top of the farm - Noah's Flat as they call it. Adeline loved it, she got to go on a hay ride in the back of the truck. Look at those mountains!

My two favorite people! Alan for once got to visit the farm with us!

The wildlife camera was set up in front of the apple tree so Paw-Paw picked apples for us to eat!

We got to take this awesome family picture, just wish there wasn't an apple in Adeline's face!

Father & Daughter, oh so sweet!

Next Adeline had to see her horses! Rusty is such a character...

Adeline's favorite horse, THUNDER! We are slowly building trust with Thunder, he will almost let us walk up to him - but mostly just trots away unless of course we have apples!

And to sign off this post - a selfie with Cash!

Have a great day!

Horsin' Around at Walnut Springs Farm

Adeline and I were able to head to my parents for a couple days. Adeline was excited to show off her new scooter and has some super cute moves to show off!

Of course while we were there we had to visit the horses. Mom and dad picked some apples from the tree in their yard to give to the horses. Adeline  helped handing the apples to her Paw Paw.

Chow down guys! Adeline's favorite is in the middle, Thunder.

Rusty thought he should have had more apples and kept trying to find some on the tail gate or Adeline's boots!

We couldn't forget about the other two! Jessie and Chavo got their apples and attention from Adeline too!

Adeline loves these horses so much, Its frustrating that we are now two hours away and she can't see them as often as she asks! She of course misses my parents quite a bit too and always asks to go see them. She doesn't yet understand that they live farther from us now and we can't just meet them for dinner anymore!

Cash loves getting scratched! He was even shaking his back leg because it felt so good!
